“Fly Free Like A Bird. Aum Namaha Shivaya.”Says Guru Ka Das Walia
Ham refers to one of many single-syllable Sanskrit mantras that are associated with the chakras or metaphysical energy centres along the spine. These bija mantras, also known as seed mantras, are believed to activate specific chakras' energy. Ham is often spelled hum and is associated with vishudhi (throat) chakra.
Mantras can be single words, phrases, or single syllables. They are recited to harness the power of sound vibrations. Bija mantras, which are used in yoga to balance, calm, and cleanse the mind, are chanted.
