⁣Mahabharata is home to one character that could make the ideal king. But fate decided that he would be born to a maid. Vidura was the wisest of all, and his foresight saved Pandavas.

Vidura was halfbrother to Pandu (Dhritarashtra) and Pandu. He was the child of a maid-servant. According to some, Yama or Dharma Raja was his incarnation. Mandavya cursed him with punishments that far exceed the sin.

Both queens were heiresses to King Vichitravirya Of Hastinapur. The latter died in childlessness. Satyavati Vichitravirya was eager to ensure the continuation of the royal line. Bhishma who he called father, raised Vidura with his half brothers. Vidura, whose parents were not of royal blood (sage Vyasa had divine but not royal lineage), was not eligible to become a king. He served as chancellor to his brothers.

⁣What happens to the soul when it dies?

There are many theories about what happens after death. Everybody feels subconsciously connected to a close family member even after they die. It becomes hard to imagine life without them. Religion offers vivid explanations for how we are connected to our relatives even after death.
