⁣It is one of the most important festivals. It is popularly celebrated in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh as well as Bihar and Jharkhand. Many other names have been given to the festival, including Hariyali Teej. Sawan Teez and Shravani Teej.

Hariyali Teej, which means greenery during India's monsoon month, is the name of Hariyali Teej. Women offer belpatri, fruits & flowers, and rice coated in the curry to Goddess Parvati. Wear traditional clothing, especially in green colors, and wear saris. Unmarried women may also desire a husband.

The festival symbolizes the reunion of Lord Shiva (and Goddess Parvati). Married women who visit their parents during the festival wear traditional attires, especially green ones. Use swings in pairs, sing Teej songs and traditional music.
